And it is written for those who seek the path of Knighthood, that they may find the way through the whisperings of the Holy Spirit, who calleth unto the souls of the willing to stand forth as defenders of Love. For the Spirit descendeth upon them with a fire that kindleth their hearts, that they may bear the mark of courage and compassion as a flame eternal.
And the Spirit speaketh unto them, saying:
“Hearken unto Me, ye who are called, and open your hearts to the Knighthood that is after the Holy Order of Mother God. For this is not a path of ease, nor a mantle to be laid aside. It is a binding oath, a sacred vow sealed in love and upheld in justice. Many there are who shield themselves from the world’s pain, who close their eyes to evil that they may live in comfort. But ye are called to a greater purpose, for ye are not of those who live by ease or flee from strife.
“Thus shall the sign of the Celestial Knights be the Mother Bear, symbol of strength and gentleness, of fierce guardianship and steadfast care. Her constellation shineth across the heavens, a light unto those lost in darkness; and so shall ye be to all who suffer and to all who are burdened by tyranny. For ye are called not merely to witness the wrongs of this world, but to bear arms against them, with Love as your shield and Justice as your blade.
“And know ye this: the oath of this Knighthood bindeth your soul unto service, a vow that is eternal and holy. Seek not to enter it lightly, for the cost is great, even unto the giving of life, and the reward is not of riches or renown. Those who take this vow shall find peace not in the comfort of flesh, but in the labor of the spirit, for they shall toil to heal the wounds of the world, to break the chains of the oppressed, and to stand as pillars for the weak.
“In the day of trial, be ye not afraid, for the Holy Spirit shall be your strength, and Their light shall fill your heart with fire unyielding. Look upon the Prayer of Knighthood, and let its words be as a guide unto you in the night:
The Prayer of Knighthood
I walk in the Light of the God of Love— not for promises of salvation or glory but because They are within me, and Their voice hums through bone and blood. Faith is hollow without hands that labor, without a heart that aches for the world’s wounds. I believe in tenderness that maketh no bargains, in a kindness fierce enough to hold the broken and shelter the lost. But also I believe in the wrath of the heart, in a fire that burneth not for destruction, but to purify, to guard, to remind those who deal in cruelty that they, too, shall answer to Love. Let the gentle know me as one of their own, and let the cruel find me as flame, relentless and unyielding. Kindness to the kind, Viciousness to the cruel, In the Name of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
“And thus shall ye know your calling, O Knight of the Mother. When ye feel the stirring of wrath against oppression, when your heart burneth with love for the downtrodden, and when your hands are moved to labor on behalf of the suffering, then shall ye know the Spirit hath marked you for this holy order. Ye shall bear witness to tyranny not in silence, but in resistance, knowing it is better to die in the service of Love than to live in ease whilst your brethren suffer.
“And so, arise, ye who are called. Stand fast in this Knighthood of Light. Go forth to the highways and hedges, to the cities and countrysides, wheresoever there is need and suffering. Be ye as a light in darkness, a fire that shall not die, and know that the Godhead walketh with you as ye labor. Even so, Amen.”
